Touring nationally as a solo artist or with his band “The Munks”, Chip’s delightful performances are filled with his gentle spirit, pleasant and winsome style, and an unmistakable connection with family audiences. Chip's solo music has been compared to James Taylor and Phil Keaggy and indeed offers a tranquil, folk appeal. But there’s also a whole “Rockin” side to his sound when Chip is joined by his band The Munks.
Chip received a Parents' Choice Award for his 2014 CD release The Dream Tree, the 2016 Ohio Music Award for Best Children's music for his song "Let's Dance" and in 2017 was named Best Family Musician by Lake Erie Living Magazine. Attending one of Chip's Family Concerts is truly a unique experience, it's not a "kids show" and it's not an "adult show"... it's exactly what it's billed to be... an all age event... Breaking NEWS: Season Two of Once Upon A Porch Launches 2025
Mr Chip and Friends are back with a brand new season of Once Upon A Porch filmed on location from the set of  The Porch at Bradley Temple in Lakeside, Ohio. Season two features six new episodes that will release every other
Saturday at 10:00 AM beginning Saturday, January 25th  with Episode 1 "The Rainy Day Show" ... Watch each episode as they release or all of Season One episodes on Mr Chip's youtube channel including all LIVE Streamed shows so you can go back and watch any show on demand.

The “Once Upon a Porch” project, 13 years in the making, is part of Chip’s dream to expand his Summer Gig (God Squad) and the Lakeside experience to a wider, year-round audience. 
However, “Once Upon a Porch” is not Chip’s first foray into streaming content. During the pandemic, he launched “Lunch with Mr. Chip,” a weekly live-streamed show for kids on his YouTube channel. Chip was surprised by how well the show was received and how meaningful it was to families to make that connection.
The first Season of Once Upon A Porch 6 Episodes were released beginning Saturday, January 6, 2024 The first six episodes were:
  • Fears Show (All about trying something new for the first time or beginning new things and how that can be kind of scary for us.)
  • Patience Show (A little bit of Patience sometimes is just what we need.)
  • Toothpaste Show (All about our words and how powerful they are and how once it's out there's no taking it back... like squirting out too much toothpaste from the tube... it's impossible to put it back.)
  • Achoo! Show (All about colds and germs and being careful but also about cheering up a friend who's not feeling well.)
  • Celebrate Reading Show (We're celebrating Dr Seuss birthday and reading)
  • Garden Show (It's getting warmer and all things are greening up and warming up and we are thinking about seeds, plants and growing things.)
Children will meet characters including Hank the Monster, Quackers the Duck, Bucky Beaver and Granny Waggles.
