  • "P.E. Class" from "Chip's, Bits and Pieces" the P.E. Class song is a favorite tune at Chip's school shows. Reminding students that learning does not have to be "BORING"
  • "Jammy Day " from "Chip's, Bits and Pieces" It's a reggae groove all about a happy surprise that happens in the winter time when the snows flys... no school... Snow Day! At our house we always called those days... Jammy Days.

Advice from an "Old Dad" on Father's Day...

It's been a really busy and fun filled spring for me. The "Here Comes the Sun Tour" has kept me traveling all over Ohio and parts of the Midwest. I have to say I'm actually looking forward to being a little more stationary for a few months. I'll still be busy doing several shows a week at Lakeside but I get to stay pretty much in the same place for a several weeks. I will be making a few trips here and there over the the summer for concerts at several libraries and festivals but mostly I'll be in Lakeside. I hope you'll have the chance to visit there too this summer. It's a wonderful spot for families to come and relax, play and re-create!

More than ever I've been made aware recently of how important it is for us, as families, to take time to re-create, re-connect... life is so busy and really so short! We take for granted the time we have with our kids and our spouses... it's so important for us to make the most of every moment. My children have grown up so fast... from really fun, cool, creative kids to really fun, cool, creative adults! Chip walking his daughter down the isle.
One of my daughters recently graduated from college and got married to a great guy we really love, another daughter just graduated from high school and will be heading off to college in the fall. My son just finished his freshman year in high school and is growing into manhood daily! It's really just amazing to me... I'm both overjoyed and overwhelmed. Overjoyed at who they are becoming as grownups and overwhelmed with the melancholy feeling that tells me something really precious is leaving me... it's the end of their childhood.

So if I could offer some Father's Day advice to any "young" dads out there it would be this... take some time today do something fun with your kids or... maybe, don't do anything at all just be there with them. The work at the office will be there tomorrow, the grass that needs mowed can wait another day, there will always be time to play golf or watch t.v. or surf the web. The truth is there's almost nothing you could be doing right now more important than moments shared with your children.
Happy Father's Day!

Until next time... Shine Bright!

House Concerts... "There's no place like home".
House Concerts In Your HomeClick for Info

"A house concert is a chance to experience music in a warm and intimate environment. It's when someone opens up their home and invites you into their living room to share in a performance by one of their favorite musicians. It's a chance to meet the performers and get them to sign their CD. A house concert is also a great social evening of friends and neighbors." - Russ and Julie's House Concerts

House concerts are a wonderful grass roots phenomenon where touring musicians and developing local talent alike perform in the comfortable intimacy of private homes and similar non traditional spaces. They are fun to attend, fun to present and fun to play.

If you would like to help promote "live" music for kids and families by sponsoring a house concert let me know. People all over the country have been presenting house concert with great success.

Call my office 330.482.1008 today and let's talk about the possibilities of a House Concert in your town.
